Case Study Valley Fine Foods Location Annual Production Project Type Estimated Savings Project Size Benecia, CA Yuba City, CA 1,596,000 MWh DC total Over $250,000 each year Ground & Roof 1.14 MW DC total
Valley Fine Foods is a family owned gourmet food manufacturer built on core values of customer service and quality products. As the company expanded, they wanted to offset rising energy bills by maximizing the space available at two different California facilities. While they initially evaluated wind energy, the energy production and return on investment for solar proved to be a better fit for the company’s goals.
REC Solar was selected to build a rooftop system in Benicia, along with an array combining rooftop and ground mount systems at the Yuba City facility. Together, the systems offset a majority of energy costs for the building’s larger meters.
“We were very pleased with REC Solar’s planning and execution. They worked with our schedules, and their crew coordinate with our maintenance team, so there was no disruption to our production.”
