Project Description
Altus Power America acquired a Tier 3 Feed-In Tariff (FIT) project and needed to have it rapidly built to meet the deadline for the power purchase agreement’s guaranteed completion date. The project included upgrading a substation.
REC Solar built the entire 5 MW (AC) system plus substation in 5 months. The energy from the project is being purchased by Hawaiian Electric Company (HECO) on a 20-year PPA, contributing to Hawaii’s goal of 100% clean energy by 2045.
