Under the Costco Solar Program, REC Solar is responsible for the turnkey design, engineering, and installation of solar systems placed on 33 Costco warehouses across the US and Puerto Rico. REC Solar has continued to work with Costco under this program since 2008.
Fresh and Easy
11 sites | Arizona, California Over 530 kW total
REC Solar was responsible for the turnkey design, engineering, and installation of solar systems placed on the rooftops of 11 Fresh and Easy stores in Arizona and one in Los Angeles, California. All roof equipment and racking was mounted with h standing seam clamp system, eliminating roof penetrations.
18 sites | 11 states Over 17 MW total
Beginning in 2010, REC Solar designed and installed 18 rooftop solar PV systems for IKEA facilities across the United States. These projects represent over 17MW, or approximately 50% of their entire solar portfolio, and will help IKEA achieve their goals to reduce facility carbon emissions.
4 sites | Hawaii, California 1.1 MW total
REC Solar was awarded EPC contracts for solar photovoltaic systems at four Safeway stores located in Hawaii and California. These roof-mounted systems utilize Suntech panels and Advanced Energy inverters, and produce approximately 1,300,000 kWh of energy per year.
Kauai, Pearl City | Hawaii 205 kW total
In 2008, Longs Drug Store, now CVS, procured solar for multiple sites in Hawaii. REC Solar was awarded and has now completed two solar photovoltaic systems on the islands. These projects are part of CVS' plan to integrate solar into their corporate approach toward renewable energy.
3 sites | California 456 kW total
In 2010, REC Solar constructed turn-key systems for three Albertsons facilities including all design and engineering, building permits, installation and system monitoring installation. The projects were funded through a Power Purchase Agreement. Electricity costs from the solar system will be lower than utility costs for the next 20 years. REC Solar provided full EPC of all three grid-tied, roof-mounted solar photovoltaic systems.
