IKEA Moves Ahead with Solar Installations

IKEA has completed its latest solar installation at its store in Houston, which will produce 1,152,464 kWh of clean electricity annually and reduce CO2 emissions by 795 tons.

The Houston store is the 19th installation completed with 20 more currently underway in the U.S. with contractor REC Solar.

IKEA has now installed solar panels on 89 percent of its U.S. locations with a total generating capacity of 38 MW.
