Cal State Fullerton is celebrating the completion of three solar-power systems, each 1.16 megawatts in size, installed on the rooftops of two CSU Fullerton buildings as well as the Eastside Parking Structure carport.

With the help of Southern California Edison, AECOM Technology Corp., REC Solar, Charge Harbor and Coulomb Technologies, the Cal State University’s installation also involves the first solar-powered electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at a CSU campus, in an effort to conserve and produce energy from renewable sources.

“By installing electric vehicle charging stations from Charge Harbor LLC, CSU Fullerton enables everyone on campus to participate in reducing greenhouse gas emissions,” said Ryan Grady, president of Charge Harbor LLC. “Commuting to campus in a plug-in vehicle can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 70 percent. We are honored to be part of this effort.”
