The Electrical Foreman reports to a General Foreman or Construction Superintendent - and is responsible for leading all electrical workers on a project site to install all DC and AC electrical equipment of a commercial solar electric installations in a safe, high quality and efficient installation manner. The Foreman is responsible for leading personnel, technical training, creating material lists, thoroughly planning the electrical work schedules, and documenting quality and safety inspections.


Required Qualifications:

•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    You must have a current Electrical Journeyman certification/license in the state of Hawaii
•    Knowledge of electrical and general construction, as well as NEC codes
•    Maintain a high attention to detail and quality
•    Knowledge and efficient decision-making ability regarding the mechanical portion of the solar installation
•    Professional and communicative work manner
•    Ability to lead all electricians on medium/large projects or to work with other Electrical Foremen on large-scale commercial projects
•    Ability to generate accurate material lists for field purchases
•    Physically able to perform all tasks related to installation
•    Knowledge of current NEC codes.  Must possess and travel with a 2014 NEC book.
•    Working knowledge of electrical calculations (NEC: de-rates, wire sizing, conduit/box fill, etc.)
•    Valid state Driver’s license with clean MVR
•    Must have clean background check and drug test


Preferred Qualifications:

•    6+ years of commercial electrical experience
•    Willingness to obtain licenses in other states
•    Exposure to mechanical, electrical and/or other hazards
•    Working knowledge of solar electric systems (including installation of conduit racking, wiring systems, electrical equipment, etc.)
•    OSHA 30
•    CPR/FA Certified
•    NABCEP cert
