In December 2011, KIUC Renewable Solutions One, LLC awarded the EPC contract for a 14.53 MW DC ground mount system to REC Solar. This is the second utility-scale project that REC Solar and KIUC have developed together. KIUC will also be integrating a 6 MW battery storage system to control intermittency, with full system completion expected in May 2015.

Boulder, Breckenridge | Colorado 991 kW
REC Solar was awarded the contract to engineer, procure, and construct two ground mounted solar electric systems at community solar sites in Boulder and Breckenridge, Colorado totaling 991 kW. The Boulder site was the first community solar project built under XCEL’s Solar Reward Program. Both projects were completed by January 2014 and produce approximately 1.4 MWh of electricity annually.

Robeson County| North Carolina 9 MW total
In 2012, REC Solar wrapped up two 4.5 MW solar projects in Robeson County, North Carolina, with the power being sold to Progress Energy. The projects utilize REC 245 modules, Advanced Energy inverters, and SnapNrack Series 350 fixed-tilt ground mount racking system.
