Matt Reckling
Regional Operations Manager
Matt Reckling has 17+ years experience in the electrical field in both residential and commercial systems. After working as a Union electrician for 10 years Matt got his C-10 Electrical License on July 16, 2004. Matt opened his own company Reckling Electric where he worked on multimillion dollar custom homes. In 2008 Matt was offered a position with Sequoia Solar as the companies RMO and Vice President of electrical operations. Now Matt applies his 17+ years of electrical and construction skills at REC Solar.
John Bumgarner
Regional Sales Manager
John Bumgarner is the Area Sales Manager for San Diego and Orange Counties. He holds BAs from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, as well as an MA from San Diego State University. John joined members of city staff on a work action committee developing the San Diego Clean Generation Program in 2009. He is a mayoral appointee on the San Diego City Council’s Sustainable Energy Advisory Board. When not assisting local residents and businesses in reaching their solar energy goals, John, his wife and their dog enjoy San Diego’s wealth of outdoor pleasures and eclectic dining.
Kimberly Lewis
Regional Project Planner
Kimberly Lewis is REC Solar’s Regional Project Manager for Southern California. She graduated from UCSB with a degree in Environmental Studies and minor in Professional Writing, and is also LEED accredited. Before joining the REC team, she worked in the homebuilding industry where she gained over 10 years of project management experience. In her spare time, Kimberly enjoys the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
Trent Gould
Construction Supervisor
Trent Gould is the Construction Supervisor for Los Angeles County. He joined the commercial team in September 2008. In January 2010 he found a home with the LA branch and plans on never leaving.
Sergio Mendez
Construction Supervisor
Sergio Mendez is the Construction Supervisor for the Orange County branch , he joined REC early in the year coming to us from the homebuilding industry. Prior to joining REC Sergio had spent the last 9 years with the Fortune 500 homebuilder Pulte Homes where he served as a assistant Superintendent , Customer Service Manager and before moving on was promoted to the Special Operations Manager where he managed 4500 homes in the Phoenix Area.
Rick Rios
Construction Supervisor
Rick Rios is the Construction Supervisor for San Diego. He’s a proud San Diego State Aztec with a degree in Business Management. He has been with REC for four years.
