Project Details

  • 44 kW

This solar electric system was installed as part of an overall energy-efficiency overhaul undertaken by the city. REC Solar was subcontracted by Chevron/Texaco, the company conducting the overhaul, to design and install the solar electricity. The carport design is extremely functional, providing shelter to the vehicles in the city’s parking lot. The inverters are mounted on the inside of the carport so that they are easily accessible, yet not occupying unnecessary space.

This system was designed with 270 Sharp 165-watt solar panels and 15 SMA 2500-watt inverters. It generates 68,273 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually.
