REC Solar was selected for the installation of a ground mounted solar electric system at the Dole Plantation, immediately adjacent to their visitor center and Pineapple Express Railroad. Since the completion of this project in 2013, Dole has continued by installing 461kW of ground-mount PV at their fruit processing facility.
Delano | California 1.13 MW
REC Solar was hired to design, procure and install a custom solar ground mount installation on a cold storage facility adjacent to a similar ground mount system for neighboring facility. The project was completed in August 2010.
Delano | California 880 kW
REC Solar designed and installed a 880 kW ground mount solar system at the Delano Growers facility in Delano, California. The system was completed in May of 2014.
Templeton | California 704.4kW
Castoro Cellars invested in their first solar project in 2006 at their tasting room on Hwy 46 West. In 2012, they added a second solar installation in their Dos Viñas Vineyard in San Miguel, a 61.4-kilowatt array, which powers agriculture wells and an on-site home. Most recently, Castoro Cellars completed a 625kW installation that allows the winery to run 100% on solar power.
Salinas | California 763 kW
Taylor Farms flipped the switch on a 763 kW solar installation on the roof of its salad processing plant. The project’s 2,250 photovoltaic solar panels will generate one million kilowatts annually. Taylor Farms is now looking to install an additional 1.5 megawatts of solar
Dupont Pioneer Hi-Bred Seed Co.
Kauai | Hawaii 282 kW
The fixed-tilt, ground mounted system at the Pioneer Hi-Bred Waimea Research Center saves the facility approximately $200,000 per year in electrical costs. The system is designed with corrosion resistance due to ocean proximity.
Santa Maria | California 1MW
REC Solar installed the 4,032-panel array on the roof of the farm’s shipping and packing building. The system was designed to accelerate the farm’s return on investment by maximizing energy production and offsetting consumption when utility electricity rates are highest.
Jordan Vineyard & Winery
Healdsburg | California 454 kW
Jordan Vineyard & Winery is now able to produce almost all the electricity they require with solar power, allowing the winery to save nearly $4.9 million in electricity costs over the next 30 years. Jordan’s clients feel even better about supporting a winery with a clear commitment to sustainability.
Bakersfield | California 1.07 MW
In July of 2013, REC Solar designed and installed a 1.07 MW ground mount solar system at Vignolo Farms in Bakersfield, California. Construction was completed in January 2014.
Delano | California 1.18 MW
REC Solar was selected to design and install a solar ground mount installation on approximately four acres at the VBZ Cold Storage site in Delano, CA. The project goal was to build the highest quality system for the lowest lifetime kWh hour cost.
